This is a great feature, but typically I need it to work in IE; if I implement it with just width or height (not max-height/width) I potentially get lots of whitespace, as the width and height of the tables will be different lengths.

Is there any solution to this other than changing browser?

Brian,
max-height does not appear to be supported in I.E 6 or I.E 7.

It does however work perfectly in the Fox and Opera.

Great, and very useful! One thing that I found though, I find it much more useful to use max-height as opposed to height. That way, if you only have a few records in your report you won't have a region with a whole lot of empty space on the bottom.

Andy. Nice tip. If you wanted to create a report template, all you need to so is place the div before the table is opened in the "Before Rows" section.

I have a report template that "freezes" the headings and will put it on my blog soon but it only works in IE so I shall look into re building the templte with you solution implemeted. Shall let you know when its done.

Dunc

P.S hope your project is going well!
